Daddy bluebird

Just a pic of Daddy from yesterday afternoon.  He is such a handsome fellow!

Don’t let his ‘pretty boy’ appearance fool you. Daddy has been on the warpath the past few days. Four starlings a a pair of House Sparrows have been visiting the yard and Daddy is agitated to say the least. By the time they get a good landing, he is on them  and chases them out of sight.

  1. Hi Lindell, Yes I also have experienced seeing the Bluebirds get defensive about their territory, or food. I have not seen any Bluebird houses or nests up close so I can’t say anything about that matter. Thanks for this fine blog. I so enjoy reading it.

  2. I didn’t know that.
